“ Every time I'm in the Bay Area I have to stop by for brunch at Denica's . There breakfast burritos are the bomb . I love how fast the service is and restaurant is always clean with a lovely ambiance. ”
“ Great pastries. Love the vibe. Reminds me of Paradise Cafe in Oahu. Prime rib and eggs $40 ”
“ We went for breakfast and tried their vegan burrito. The portion was very generous--big enough for two to share! I also really liked the setup: you order at the counter, they bring your drink, and you can serve yourself coffee and other drinks. They even have takeout boxes you can grab on your own, which means you get to control the pace of your experience. The place was clean, and there was plenty of staff around. Overall, I really enjoyed it and would definitely come back for that vegan burrito! ”
“ Been to all the Denica's, and this one might be the smallest, but also the most cozy and welcoming. The staff here are so friendly and helpful. We've come to this location a couple times, and had various breakfast items and pastries. The banana macadamia nut pancakes was one of their specials recently, and I'm so glad I gave them a try! I dream of pancakes like these when we return from trips to Hawaii. That's a high standard to set, and these pancakes met the standard. I hope they put them on the menu permanently. If they don't, I love the guava pancakes almost just as much! My family has also really enjoyed the waffles here. We will definitely be back! ”
“ Ordered a few items to get a taste of the island here in the mainland. The loco moco, the macadamia pancakes, an ube latte, and churro waffle to name a few. I loved the sauce on the macadamia pancakes. It literally took me back to the boots and kimo restaurant in Hawaii. Their pancake on the other hand was a little too dense for me. They were extremely thick and had almost a raw texture. It may have been from the banana that was mixed in with the batter. The sauce great, the pancake itself wasn't my favorite. The churro waffle wasn't as churro-y as I thought it was going to be. It was slightly dusted with cinnamon to give it that umph. The loco moco was probably my favorite dish. But by the time it got to me the gravy was slightly congealed so it wasn't as appetizing as it would have been fresh. Upon arrival, there was a short line but it went by quickly. You line up first, place your order then you are given a number and you can take a seat any where. The service was great. The waiter who brought out our dishes was attentive and quick to get us what we needed. I'd return to see what other specials they would put on the menu ”
“ Definitely recommend trying this place at least once. This is my second time coming to Denica's (different locations each time) but all locations have the same "old school diner" vibe. You order when you walk in and get to choose where you sit. The service was great, and the person taking our order helped us choose what items to get. I really enjoyed the self serve chip and salsa bar as you don't see a lot of brunch places doing that! Now for the food review! I got the Noah G Green Burrito (4/5) and it was a solid breakfast burrito. The potatoes were crispy which I loved, and I also added avocado, which personally always makes things more appetizing. However it was extremely filling, and I was struggling to finish. My mom got the pink guava pancakes who enjoyed it but agreed that it was hard to finish. I think it would be a good idea to share if you go with others. That way you can try both their savory and sweet options too! ”
“ Parking lot provides ample parking. You order at the counter first and pay and then they give you a number to place on your table. I had the Ube pancakes which were great. Take a look at the photo - smaller sized stack but presented well with sliced berries and bananas. I'd order this again. Also had a side of eggs and sausage. The service was excellent and they kept our coffee and tea topped off well. ”
“ Delicious food, clean place, friendly staff. We ordered loco moco & chicken and waffles and both were 10/10, would not change a thing. Left so full! ”
“ I can't believe I haven't been here in so long! Denicas has changed a lot since I've last been here (10 years ago?). Now they have SO many cool foods and options! The lattes are beautiful and crafted with love and they have a unique selection of pancake and French toast flavors. One of my friends got the passion fruit pancakes and I got the ube French toast. They were delicious! I can't believe how much flavor there is and without being overly sweet. We got there right when they opened on Saturday so it wasn't too busy. It did pick up after an hour, and appears to do very well! I would love to come back and try more of their savory dishes. The eggs Benedict's looked really good too! ”
“ Can't ever get enough of Denica's! I've been addicted to Denica's cookies for years but rarely got to sit down enjoy the food - I've been more frequently lately and everything this place pumps out is amazing!! Even being to multiple locations, the consistency is there! We love the delicious variety they have in not only baked goods, but also their actual menu. We also love that they make their salsa and chips fresh and have them available for you to get as much as you like while you're dining. And let me tell you, those chips are perfectly fresh, lite and crispy... and the homemade salsas are so flavorful I could drink it! I kid you not, everything I've had here is so tasty, I can't even pick a winner! If you love Ube you've got to try everything Ube they have!! And don't forget the loco mocos!! I'll forever be a Denica's customer!! ”
